I’ve said for years that I wanted to improve my health. Years.
And on the surface, I believed I meant it.
I knew movement was part of the equation (hello Pilates challenge). But food (and, erm, margaritas) was the other piece. The bigger, messier, more frustrating piece.
I rolled into 2025 feeling like something had to shift.
I started seriously considering working with a dietician. But it was a lot of money and I thought I knew what she was going to say anyway.
Like most millennial women, I’ve grown up surrounded by diet culture. Calorie counting. Fad diets. Women’s magazines and meal replacement shakes.
And while I’ve never really been “good” at any of those things, I did think I understood what healthy eating should look like.
Eventually, I bit the bullet. I hired the dietician. Turns out, I didn’t actually know what a healthy diet looked like for an almost-40 year old. It’s been 2 months of unlearning very ingrained, bad habits.
But here’s the part I want you to hear:
It wasn’t the knowledge that changed things.
It was the support.
She gave me:
Having someone experienced in my corner, telling me what to focus on, holding me accountable, and helping me take real action? That’s what has made the difference.
And the exact same thing is true in business.
If you feel like you “should” know what to do by now. If you’ve read all the advice, watched all the free content, saved all the Instagram posts… But you’re still not doing the thing. You probably don’t need more theory.
You need a plan.
You need support.
You need skin in the game.
Because knowing isn’t enough.
Action is everything.
